Elephant Reflections Raffle
Tufts University’s Department of Integrative Physiology and Pathobiology held its annual research retreat on April 7 at the beautiful Tufts School of the Museum of Fine Arts. The morning program was comprised of research talks. At the lunch break, however, one of the faculty, Ellen Weinberg, surprised the attendees by announcing a raffle on behalf of the Tufts Elephant Conservation Alliance (TECA). Ellen had assembled a basket of elephant-adorned items, and the undisputed highlight was an autographed copy of Dale Peterson’s book “Elephant Reflections.” By the end of the retreat, enthusiastic attendees had contributed more than $500 to TECA! Heartfelt thanks to Ellen for organizing the raffle and her dedication to the cause of wildlife conservation, and to Dale for contributing an autographed copy of his book.
